About the photographer

Mahmoud Sami has devoted his entire life to portrait photography. With a photographer for a father, Mahmoud became fascinated with the craft at an early age. He moved to Paris to attend art school and work, before coming to the United States in 1986. Mahmoud opened Studio Sami in 2004 in Montclair, New Jersey and has been creating beautiful, classically styled portraits for a range of customers ever since.
